My Electricity 6.0

My Electricity 6.0

The My Electricity program, which has been supporting Poles in purchasing ecological energy solutions for years, is entering a new phase. After the success of five editions, society eagerly awaits the start of the sixth. However, although new resources and conveniences are planned, the road to the introduction of My Electricity 6.0 is not without obstacles.

The previous edition of the program, My Electricity 5.0, turned out to be a success, attracting the interest of thousands of households. Financial support for photovoltaic micro-installations, heat pumps, or energy storage has contributed to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and lower energy bills. However, even with a substantial budget of 950 million zlotys, funds were exhausted in less than eight months, which speaks to the huge interest in the program.

Currently, in anticipation of My Electricity 6.0, society stands in uncertainty. The Ministry of Climate and Environment assures that work on the new edition is ongoing, but details regarding deadlines and rules are still unknown. Unofficial information suggests difficulties in finding funding for the program, which may affect its implementation.

One of the key points of the new edition of My Electricity is the mandatory investment in energy storage. Acting as an integral part of the prosumer system, energy storage allows for more efficient use of photovoltaic installations, which is becoming increasingly important in the context of dynamic tariffs. The introduction of this obligation has been met with positive reception from experts, who believe that it is a step forward in the direction of responsible use of public funds.

However, there are also challenges. Uncertainties regarding funding sources and the start date of the program raise concerns among potential beneficiaries. Additionally, the issue of the qualification period for costs within the new FEnIKS fund is generating discussion, which may affect the number of people willing to participate in the program.

It is worth highlighting that previous editions of My Electricity contributed to a significant improvement in the ecological situation of the country and reduced energy costs for households. It is expected that My Electricity 6.0 will continue this trend, offering new opportunities and conveniences for energy prosumers.

Despite current uncertainties, society believes in the potential of the My Electricity program and hopes that the new edition will bring further benefits for both the environment and its participants.
